Patent Abstract / Summary

[0001] The invention relates to a wavelength-converting casting compound (5) based on a transparent epoxy casting resin for an electroluminescent component with a body (1) emitting ultraviolet, blue or green light, in which an inorganic phosphor pigment powder with phosphor pigments (6) from the group of rare earth-doped garnets, rare earth-doped thiogallates, rare earth-doped aluminates and/or rare earth-doped orthosilicates is dispersed in the transparent epoxy casting resin and the phosphor pigments have grain sizes ≤ 20 µm and a d<50> ≤ 5 µm. Furthermore, a manufacturing method for this, a light-emitting semiconductor component with such a casting compound and a semiconductor body with such a casting compound are disclosed.
