Verfahren zur Steuerung des Betriebszustandes eines hydraulischen Aktors (7), der als Teil eines Arbeitsaggregats (4) einer Baumaschine (14) bewegliche mechanische Aggregatkomponenten, insbesondere einen Werkzeughalter oder ein Werkzeug (6), stellt, und dessen Druckkammern mit ihren Arbeitsanschlüssen (A, B) mittels mindestens einem Steuerventil (1, 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) mit dem Leitungssystem eines hydraulischen Kreises verbunden sind, wobei einerseits der Betriebszustand bei vollständiger Trennung der Druckkammern des Aktors (7) vom Leitungssystem des hydraulischen Kreises mittels des mindestens einem Steuerventil (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) beibehalten wird und andererseits eine Änderung des Betriebszustandes mittels einer getakteten Ansteuerung des mindestens einem Steuerventil (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) erfolgt.
